Bean Bags for the Sports Fanatics

Have you ever watched the movie “Fever Pitch?” Jimmy Fallon plays the lead male role and he is just crazy about baseball. His life revolves around the game, his team, and anything else about the sport. And I know there are probably many of you out there that can relate to a person who is like that!

I have been teased by many that I married the main character out of Fever Pitch. My husband is a sports-aholic. He coaches football and baseball, plays the games and of course watches every game at a stadium or on T.V.

We just finished our basement and turned it into additional living space. I was brainstorming what I could do with the area and decided to make it our own “sports-junkie-hang out” area.

I was trying to decide what would be fitting for the furniture and decorations. I decided that overstuffed chairs and bean bags were the way to go! Serenity Health offers all sorts of bean bags, but my favorite ones that would work in the basement are the sports themed bean bags. You can get baseballs, basketballs and football bean bags or bean bags specific to professional teams.

Since I enjoy sports as well, I am going to decorate with basketball, football and baseball in mind, since those are the three major sports that we played. So, I will get the individual sports ball bean bags and then get a bean bag that coordinates with our favorite sports teams. For those that have two favorite teams like the Detroit Tigers and Minnesota Twins then we’ll have to get both. I, then, have neat pictures that correspond with the respective stadiums.

I am excited to get started. I have started to compile my decorations and furniture and am just waiting for my bean bags to arrive from Serenity Health!
