Relaxation: #1 Goal for the Holidays

Last night I sat down for the first time and did some yoga. This is my suggested relaxation remedy before you begin all of your festivities with the Christmas and New Year’s Holidays coming around.

This is great to do at home in your living room or your basement’s family room. Turn down the lights, plug in the Christmas tree lights, put the Yoga DVD in, but on silent and stretch your body and relax the stress to the sounds of your water fountain trickling in the background.

You will completely relax after a 1/2 hour or 45 minute work out. The lights and natural sounds of your home will help you shut down the thoughts of the office or the parties your need to attend in the next couple of days.

Enter your holiday schedule with a relaxed mind, it will help you have a clear mind to enjoy the meaning behind all the parties and holiday traditions you will be taking part in. A clear mind lets you have fun, relish the moment and enhance your days, so you can feel like you actually participated in all the Holiday celebrations. I find I enjoy the moment more looking back at the memory, but I want to enjoy the moment.

Do your yoga, or pilates, go for a walk every morning and enjoy your festivities!
