Going Green Guide-5 Simple Things You Can Do

With all the talk recently about “Going Green” at some point we all need to ask ourselves “what can I do to make a difference”?  There are a lot of ideas out there, some take more work and are tougher to do than others.  Looking at how Serenity Health could help give our customers some tips, I put together 5 simple things that you could do today to help the environment and start “going green”.  Serenity Health offers many outdoor fountains and other relaxing outdoor products my tips are all related to nature and the outdoors.

  1. Turn your car engine off!  Letting your car idle 10 less minutes every day can keep 550 lbs of Carbon Monoxide out of the air every year.
  2. Feed the birds!  Not only does do you get the relaxing entertainment of bird watching, birds need water to drink and food to eat.  There are many beautiful bird feeders and birdbaths that will go perfectly in any landscaped area.  This is an inexpensive hobby and will keep the birds coming back day after day!  Also, did you know that birds help rid many kinds of bugs in your yard?
  3. Plant a tree.  Everyone loves trees, they provide beauty, shade, a place for the birds.  It is even more fun to plant a tree yourself and watch it grow each year.  If you are fortunate to have a place to plant, this is a great way to help the environment and bring the beauty to others around you.
  4. Take a walk, enjoy nature, relax outside in a hammock, whatever it is you like outdoors, enjoy!  Take advantage of how beautiful our green earth is.  Remember, anytime you see litter or trash on the ground, pick it up and take it to a place where it can be recycled, if we all did this we would really help in “going green”.
  5. Plant a Garden. Growing flowers and vegetables in a garden can reduce erosion and even have a positive effect on air pollution.  Try a Solar Fountain to add more beauty.  These solar fountains run on solar energy so there is no need for an electrical supply.  There are over 20 solar fountains to choose from in all different colors and styles.  You are sure to find one to fit your garden!  You will also enjoy the soothing water sounds a garden fountain will bring.

I hope you enjoyed this post on what little things you can do to help in “Going Green”.  If there is anything you would like to see more information on please add your comments on any post and we will get more information out here!  You might also enjoy this post on Benefit of Water Fountains.
