The pump is the heart of every water fountain. Whether you are replacing your fountain pump or purchasing one for a fountain you are building, it can be a very difficult task. Here are a few general guidelines to help you make the right decision.
- WA pumps are for indoor use only.
- Pumps with a WT model number are indoor and outdoor pumps.
- You will see the abbreviation GPH when looking at your pumps specifications. This is the flow rate your fountain requires to produce adequate water.
- Consider the “max head” height. This is how far the pump will push water up from the pump.
- Look at the outlet tube size to be sure the tube that is included with your fountain will fit.
- Size/Dimensions of your existing pump.Make sure it will be fully submerged in the water basin.
Keeping these guidelines in mind should ease many concerns you may have when choosing your water fountain pump. All fountain pumps that Serenity Health carries are adjustable so you can increase or decrease the water flow.
