Bean Bags for College Students

I’m not sure many college students (such as myself) will be visiting this site, however, if you’re a parent of a student, or going to be soon, listen up! College is a very expensive time for a student and their family. And take my word for it, when you reach that point where you decide to move into a house with some roommates, it gets even worse. I recently moved into a new house just off campus with three of my buddies. This is our first year living off campus and I don’t think any of us really knew what to expect when moving in. I mean who knew a house needed plates, silverware, cups, tv’s, tables, pots, pans….and furniture?

Needsless to say, we could already see ourselves becoming more financially embarrassed and the summer hadn’t even started yet. We were able to manage with the pots, pans, and other kitchen and dinning needs. I mean, everyone’s parents have a few extra things laying around. My roommate Mike even had a TV and our other roommate Eric found a table and some chairs at a garage sale for cheap. Things were starting to look up, but then it came down to the living room furniture and everything came to a screeching halt. We had one couch… Four guys, one couch, and nowhere for the girls to sit. We were doomed. Now, I’m sure most of you reading this know how much new furniture can cost/how upset girls really get when you tell them to sit on the floor (for the record, I would have offered my seat). It’s very expensive. But for a college student, buying brand new furniture is like committing financial suicide. We didn’t want to buy anything too nice because, well, we’re four college guys. How clean is this stuff actually gonna stay? Plus, we probably won’t be home much and buying something expensive and not using it just wouldn’t make any sense. We were in a jam.

That’s when my dad came through in the clutch. He told me about Serenity Health. He remembered the website because he and my mom had recently purchased a water fountain there. He knew my roommates and I all love sports, have our favorite teams, and most imporatantly WE NEED FURNITURE! Thats when he told me about the bean bag chairs they have on this site. I thought to myself, ‘Bean bag chairs ey? That could be kinda cool.’ They’re low maintenance, easy to move around, we could a bean bag with our favorite team’s logo, and they’re not expensive! This sounded like a great idea. My roommates and I decided to go for it. It was so easy and cheap we didn’t stop with just one or two. Not even three. We all decided to get our own bean bag chair. Now our house is complete. There’s places to sit, money in our pockets, green n’ gold, blue n’ white, and cardinal n’ white all over the living room (we’re all from Wisconsin, up here its all about the Packers, Badgers, Brewers and Bucks). I know a lot of you might not agree with the team selections, but you really should consider this site and bean bag chairs if you have a loved one entering college.
