Beautify Your Yard With Solar Lights

Although planting a garden is, in and of itself. a good step to going green, consider adding solar lights to your garden area in order to take it one step further. Solar lights are a beautiful decoration that sets your plants aglow after the sun sets. What better way to relax in the evening than stretched out under the stars in a lawn chair, enjoying the sounds of summer nightlife as you bathe in the soft glow of the solar lights lining your garden?

Solar powered lights tend to work in a common way: a solar panel is attached to rechargeable batteries, which are charged when direct sunlight hits the solar panel. The charge is then stored in the rechargeable batteries; once the sun goes down and the solar panel no longer receives direct sunlight, the batteries kick on. So basically solar lights are battery operated lights, whose batteries are charged- and recharged- by the sun!

Solar lights are gorgeous additions to any front or back yard. They look wonderful set up around the perimeters of a garden, around the edge of a fence, lining a driveway, or even floating globes for your pool or pond.They also come in fun shapes and designs, such as flower shaped solar lights or multicolored globes.
